Course contents

The demands placed on internationally operating companies have risen sharply in recent years. If you want to remain competitive and successful, you need competent employees who not only have specialist expertise but also international practical experience, active foreign language skills and intercultural skills. Therefore, the Master‘s program International Management responds to the current and future demand for workers in the globalized economy through scientifically founded study content and a high degree of practical relevance through intensive exchange with companies.

The focus is on the international orientation of the degree program. You have the opportunity to complete a twelve-week internship in an Englishspeaking international company, where you can expand your management skills in addition to your specialist skills.

In modules such as Foreign Trade & International Growth Markets, Human Resources & Cross-cultural Management or Business Management in the Globalized Economy, you will be given comprehensive knowledge in the field of international management. During the course of study, two optional electives will be offered in the areas of finance and marketing. This gives you the opportunity to specialize in a specific subject or to choose a compulsory elective module from each competence area. All course contents have an international relevance and prepare you intensively for professional life. They then have a high international problemsolving competence and a strong intercultural understanding.

How to apply

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 180 credits is required for acceptance into the International Mangement Master’s Program. There are no special prerequisites regarding the type of study undertaken in the Bachelor’s degree.

Good English language skills that correspond to Level B of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or proof of English language Bachelor degree are required for the course. This language proficiency can be demonstrated with the following certificates:

  • ALTE level: Level 3
  • IELTS exam: minimum score of 5 - 6
  • TOEIC: score of 541 - 700
  • TOEFL iBT: minimum score 87
  • UNIcert: minimum UNIcert II

German language skills are not required for the International Management Master’s Program. However, a visa and residence permit is necessary to study in Germany.

Application Process

You may commence the International Management Master’s Program in the winter term (beginning early October) or in the summer term (beginning early June). The application deadlines is as follows:

  • Winter term: 1st July
  • Summer term: 15th March
